5.5: Tap Water
I am sad to say that I am guilty for drinking bottled water when I am out, but I think the lack of water fountain in public places would contribute to me drinking bottled water. I think a great idea to getting people back to drinking tap would be to have a filter water fountain around the city that people can bring their own reusable water bottle and fill it up to take around.
A campaign slogan would be "Say Yes to Tap, and No to Landfill". I want to bring awareness to people regarding the trashing of plastic water bottle and to promote the benefits of drinking tap.

I think when I was in Hawaii, I didn't find very many refillable water stations to support reusable water bottles. It would be helpful if you started to reduce drinking out of water bottles, because you wouldn't want the plastic to harm the sea life, would you?!
ReplyDeleteI find it really difficult not to drink bottled water when I am out and about too. Especially since I am really bad at remembering to carry my reusable water bottle everywhere and I'm not a big fan of drinking soda. But you're right, it is even more difficult if you don't have access to water fountains. If only the government would use some of the budget to install drinking fountains all over the different cities. I understand the the big soda and water bottle corporations have a chokehold on them though.
